Smart Claim is getting smarter.

UniMed always looks for ways to improve our services to Members. Based on Members’ feedback, we have designed a number of improvements to the Smart Claim system which make settling your claims easier and faster

You can now Save Your Claim as a Draft and come back to it later!

From April 3, 2024, you will be able to save your health insurance claim in Smart Claim so you can come back to complete it at a more convenient time.

How will it work? When you are adding your visits and invoices to a claim you might get called away or not quite have everything you need to complete your claim, simply hit the Save as a Draft button to save your claim in your draft claims area for 30 days – simple.

Members have the option to save a claim as a draft while completing the form.

Alternatively, they can also save it as a draft at the end of the form.

This function will not only help your claim be processed more quickly but it’ll also save you time. This has been a function many of our Members have asked for and we are thrilled to be bringing it to you.

Remember to add all your relevant visits and invoices to each of your claims.

Recently we made adding multiple visits and invoices to your claim clearer. Submitting your claim with all the relevant attachments makes reimbursement faster. You can upload up to 15MB of images (pictures of your invoices and invoices) to each claim.

Have multiple policies with us?

You can now select the specific policy you are claiming against. When you’re preparing a claim, simply select the policy from the drop-down list before starting your claim. Choosing the right policy from the start will improve how quickly we can process your claim.

Update your details more easily and get reimbursed faster.

To process your claims promptly, we need you to keep your details up to date. Reviewing your details is easy as they appear each time you. If you need to update these, click the Update Account Details link and your membership details will open in a new page, preventing you from losing any claims you might be working on already. Once you have made the update, simply close the membership details window, and carry on with where you were previously.
