Terms and Conditions

UniMed facilitates access to offers made solely by independent third-party providers (“Member Offers”). By engaging with, accessing, or redeeming any Member Offer, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
General:
- Member Offers are made available by Union Medical Benefits Society Limited, an Industrial and Provident Society (210021), with its registered office at 165 Gloucester Street, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand (“UniMed”).
- Member Offers may be provided in partnership with third-party providers, including but not limited to Flu Vaccination providers, MoleMap, Allianz Partners Travel Insurance, Bloom Hearing Limited, and Specsavers (“Offer Providers”).
- UniMed does not act as an agent for any Offer Provider.
- By participating in, purchasing or using any Member Offer, you agree to the collection and use of your information by UniMed and/or the relevant Offer Provider for the purposes of administering and providing the Member Offer, in accordance with these terms and conditions, UniMed’s Privacy Statement – unimed.co.nz/privacy and the Privacy Statement of the Offer Provider.
- These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
Eligibility and Participation:
- Member Offers are available to eligible UniMed Members only, unless otherwise stated.
- Eligibility criteria may vary depending on the specific offer and may include age, residency, policy status, or other requirements as determined by UniMed or the Offer Provider. Any specific eligibility criteria that applies can be found under the relevant Member Offer listed on our Member Offers webpage.
- Member Offers may be permanent or available for a limited time only. UniMed reserves the right to modify, extend, or withdraw any Member Offer at any time without notice.
- Member Offers are subject to availability and may be limited in quantity, time, or geographic location.
Offer Conditions:
- To access or redeem a Member Offer, you may be required to follow specific instructions (e.g. redeem a code, book via a partner platform, or present proof of UniMed membership).
- Each Member Offer is subject to the individual terms and conditions of the relevant Offer Provider. Members are responsible for reviewing and complying with those terms.
- Member Offers are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash unless explicitly stated.
- Only one Member Offer or redemption may apply per Member unless otherwise specified.
Responsibilities and Liability:
- UniMed acts solely as a facilitator of Member Offers and is not responsible for the delivery, quality, or performance of goods or services provided by Offer Providers.
- To the extent permitted by law, UniMed including its employees and agents, shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost, delay, or injury (including indirect or consequential loss) arising from or in connection with the use of or participation in any Member Offer.
- Any issues, claims, or disputes relating to the goods or services provided under a Member Offer must be raised directly with the relevant Offer Provider.
Technical and Administrative:
- UniMed is not responsible for any technical issues, system errors, or failures that may affect access to or redemption of a Member Offer.
- UniMed reserves the right to verify Member eligibility and to decline or cancel participation if fraudulent, misleading, or non-compliant behaviour is suspected.
Changes to Terms:
- UniMed reserves the right to vary, update, or replace these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice. Updated terms will be published on UniMed’s website and take effect from the date of publication.
