By participating in this promotion, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

General

This promotion is run by Union Medical Benefits Society Limited, an Industrial and Provident Society (210021) with its registered office at 165 Gloucester Street, Christchurch 8011, New Zealand ("UniMed").

Promotion

This promotion runs until 11.59pm on 31 December 2026.

Eligible participants will receive a 5% discount on a new UniMed Health Plan. The promotion can only be applied to the following health plans: SmartCare, SmartCare+ and SmartStay.

To be eligible for this promotion, you must:

  • Be a current member of the New Zealand Nurses Organisation (NZNO) at the time of application;
  • Not be a current or previous member of UniMed or Accuro Health Insurance;
  • Enter the promotional code on your application form and use the promotional code when requesting or amending a quote;
  • Have your application for a new Health Plan accepted by UniMed before 11.59pm on 31 December 2026; and
  • Not be an employee of UniMed, a family member of a UniMed employee (including a child, grandchild, grandparent, parent, partner, partner's parent or sibling), or a business partner of UniMed, including financial advisers.

The discount will be applied once the policy has been assessed, accepted and made current.

This promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion.

The discount cannot be exchanged for cash, credit, or any other benefit. The discount cannot be transferred including to any other Health Plan, person, or policy. The discount will not be applied to any partners or dependents who move to their own policy.

UniMed reserves the right to suspend, modify, terminate or cancel this promotion at any time without notice.

If a participant does not comply with these Terms and Conditions, UniMed reserves the right to withdraw the discount.

To the extent permitted by law, UniMed, its employees and agents shall not be liable for any delays, claims, damages, injuries, costs or expenses suffered, sustained or incurred (including indirect or consequential loss) arising out of or in connection with this promotion.

UniMed reserves the right to vary these Terms and Conditions at any time without providing notice.

Any health insurance issued in connection with this promotion is subject to underwriting and the terms and conditions, limitations, exclusions and eligibility requirements set out in the Health Plan document. This promotion is not an offer of insurance. Application of the promotional code does not guarantee acceptance for cover, eligibility for any particular Health Plan or any particular premium.
