Why mental wellbeing matters
Looking after our mental wellbeing is just as important as our physical health – that's why UniMed offers mental wellbeing support to our Members.
How does it work?
Members on an eligible Health Plan can access up to $1,000 of reasonable charges towards consultations with a registered psychiatrist, psychologist, psychotherapist, or counsellor.
If your Health Plan includes a 50% or 80% reimbursement, the part reimbursement will also apply to this Mental Health benefit. This means you'll be required to pay the difference directly to the provider.

We partner with 3 Big Things and Clearhead to make sure support is easy to access.
Clearhead
- Choose from 600 mental health professionals
- Be seen within 24 hours or a time that suits
- Sessions either online or in-person nationwide
Each Member must enrol individually, including when the booking is for a family member.
